Sadly, the game was cancelled which was very disappointing for everyone concerned at Chelmarsh Cricket Club. We were all ready for action and were raring to go.

What happens when a game is cancelled?

So with the game cancelled, Chelmarsh Cricket Club members probably went on a team building exercise. This exercise likely looked a lot like going on a pub crawl, getting very drunk and then finishing the night off with either a curry or kebab before bed, but, we cannot promise that was the case.

Some of our players may have gone and booked a spa day instead.

One thing that is for sure, whether we play or not it is always a good day at Chelmarsh Cricket Club, we will always have fun, regardless of the weather.

We are a very inclusive cricket club and we always have fun. Come and give us a try our training sessions are usually on a Thursday night down at the club ground

Our Offering

Here at Chelmarsh Cricket Club we have a lot to offer cricketers of all ages and abilities. Our open age group Saturday team currently plays in division 7 of the Shropshire Cricket League whilst our open age group Sunday team currently plays in division 2. Our strongest team for the 2024 season is our Sunday team.

In addition to the two teams mentioned above we also have a successful ladies section. The ladies play in a number of Ladies Softball Cricket Festivals over the course of the summer. They always have a lot of fun. The Shropshire Cricket Board organise the festivals.

Finally we have a juniors section forming in 2024. The first coaching session will be on Friday 7th June from 6.30pm and 7.45pm. These sessions will run till the 2nd August inclusive.

Depending on the success of these sessions the hope will be that we have a juniors team playing in 2025.
